Rate: £8.45 per hour

Hours of work: 8.00-17.00  (temporary summer work)

Location: Aintree racecourse (transport from Liverpool provided)

University of Liverpool Medical Students are not eligible to apply.

The School of Medicine are recruiting voluntary (simulated) patients and helpers for this summer’s objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs). An OSCE assesses the clinical competence of Student Doctors in a simulated clinical environment.

As a ‘patient’ you will be required to take part in non-invasive practical examinations such as; chest examination, hearing tests, having your blood pressure taken by Student Doctors, or learning a short history and giving details when requested.

All students will be supervised by a qualified examiner.

You should be prepared if necessary, in a private cubicle, to expose your arms, legs, abdomen, chest, and be happy for the students to examine you which may involve the need for physical contact.

You must be; reliable, trustworthy, possess an excellent level of English Language and good communication skills along with excellent time keeping ability and act professionally at all times. Training will be provided.
